Welcome to Forget-Me-Not Flower Farm! Our cut flower farm is owned by Samira Jerkovic and her youngest daughter, Andrea Jerkovic. The main idea was created by Samira a few years ago. Samira is a passionate gardener; she found her love for gardening at a very young age. Samira took interest growing flowers and plants as a child in Bosnia (former Yugoslavia) by learning from her mother, who was also a dedicated gardener. After Samira and her family moved to the United States and lived there for several years, they bought a few acres of land and she created a wonderful garden out of scratch. Samira has a vast knowledge and many years of experience about growing numerous different kinds of cut flowers and how these flowers grow in different climates.

The second co-owner of Forget-Me-Not Flower Farm is Andrea Jerkovic (some may know her as Andi), who graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Business and English at Spartanburg Methodist College. She handles online and physical sales, communication, social media posts, attends all market events, and designs all the floral arrangements. From financing products to market research to going to farmers markets, she can be a jack of all trades, yet she mainly contributes to the structural operation of the organization. As an oil artist, Andrea often looks at flowers and nature to paint landscape art. When she works with flowers, Andrea finds a sense of creativity and enjoyment in creating bouquets and arrangements as another art form.

Now, we cannot express enough how the next two people are our biggest helpers. Anica Jerkovic is the amazing first daughter and awesome sister who helps out the business when she is not teaching at Pine Street Elementary. You can find her at our bigger market events and some of her floral designs at our booth or shops. Anica has always expressed an interest in flowers, gardening, and she loves designing bouquets. She is delighted to share this business with her mother and sister. Our last, but most crucial helper, is Drazan Jerkovic. Husband to Samira and father to both daughters, he is the most reliable person out there. He’s always up in the early mornings to help Andrea set up and set down for markets and other events. He is truly the biggest fan of Forget Me Not Flower Farm.

In 2021, we established our cut flower business to provide our community with locally grown flowers. Unlike most imported flowers to the United States, our flowers are grown without using any chemicals. We are also pet owners (two German Shepherds, cats, chickens, and honey bees!), so we are very cautious about using chemicals that can harm beneficial insects and our beloved furry and feathered friends. Forget-Me-Not Flower Farm ensures to their clients long-lasting bouquets and more vibrant blooms by naturally caring and growing the flowers locally. We offer customers Flower Community Supported Agriculture (FCSA). Flowers are cut and conditioned from the source and arranged for sale. Our flowers can last between 10 to 14 days with proper care in your vase.

We hope you enjoyed our story and our relationship with you will blossom into something wonderful!

Your Flower Girl,

Andrea/Andi
